Have you ever listened to light? With Light Detector, now you can!
Light Detector transforms any natural or artificial light source it encounters into sound. Light Detector is easy to use! Just run the application and point your iPhone camera in any direction. You will hear a higher or lower sound depending on the intensity of the light.
If you are blind, Light Detector helps you to be more independent in many daily activities. At home, point your iPhone towards the ceiling to understand where the light fixtures are and whether they are switched on. In a room, move the device along the wall to check if there is a window and where it is. You can find out whether the shades are drawn by moving the device up and down.
Bring Light Detector with you to discover what is around you at the speed of light.

Excellent app
This app performs great on my 3GS, doing just what it says it will. No need to grab a separate device to confirm that the lights are out after the family has gone to bed. With such an incredible price, the app will pay for itself within one power bill for sure.
Wow
Im loving this app a lot. It reminded me I left a lamp on.
Great App Great Price
Does exactly as intended. Cant wait to see what they do next. Color identification would be nice.
Almost there
Not bad, has a good start. Found out the kitchen bulb is out since last night. A zoom slider would be nice to detect led lights, but over all not bad with my 3gs. Good work!
Kinda dumb
It does exactly what it says. Theres nothing else to it. No settings of any sort. Seems pointless and is overpriced. Ive never seen a blind person with an iPhone before. How could a blind person find this app in the app store or care to even know whether the light is on or not? I bet money a blind person has never bought a light bulb. And Id bet money a blind person doesnt even put the lights on in their own home. Pointless app. Dont buy unless you are blind and want an app to let you know if the light is on or not.
